Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PreCheckd ("we," "us," "our," or "PreCheckd"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. You must be at least 18 years old to use PreCheckd.

2. Our Service

PreCheckd is a verified marketplace for recruiters and job candidates. We verify the identity, phone number, and company affiliation of recruiting professionals, and the identity, phone number, and credentials of candidates, to help build trust between the two. PreCheckd does not guarantee any job, interview, hire, or candidate, and is not a party to any employment relationship that results from using the service.

3. SMS Communications and Opt-In

By providing your phone number and clicking "Continue" during signup, you consent to receive SMS text messages from PreCheckd for the purpose of verifying your phone number. Subscribers opt in via precheckd.com to receive verification messages from PreCheckd, powered by AWS Notify.

• Message frequency may vary per user.
• Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you.
• Text HELP for help. Text STOP to cancel.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, contact your wireless provider.

4. Identity Verification

To become a verified member, you must complete identity verification, including submitting a government-issued ID and a live selfie for facial matching. This verification is processed through our third-party identity verification partner, Stripe Identity.

5. Account Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. If the name extracted from your submitted identification does not match the name you entered, your profile will display the verified legal name from your identification document. Credentials, certifications, and employment history you add must be true, and you may not claim credentials you do not hold.

6. Messages, Email, and Automated Scanning

PreCheckd lets members send and receive messages inside the site and through a PreCheckd email address assigned to your account. You agree that:

• Messages are stored. Messages and email sent or received through PreCheckd, including the note you attach to a connection request, are stored on our systems so you can read and reply to them.
• Messages are automatically scanned. We automatically scan messages, links, and attachments to detect spam, scams, malware, and prohibited content (for example, requests for Social Security numbers or payment details), and to protect members. Scanning is done by automated systems, and messages may be reviewed by PreCheckd staff when a message is reported or flagged.
• You can write to people outside PreCheckd. Eligible members may send email from their PreCheckd address to people who are not PreCheckd members. Those messages identify you as a PreCheckd member, may include a link to your public verification page if you have turned it on, and include a way for the recipient to opt out or report the message. We may limit how many messages you can send, and we honor opt-outs and do-not-contact requests.
• Unwanted contact is not allowed. You may not use PreCheckd to send spam, bulk or deceptive messages, or messages to anyone who has asked not to be contacted.

7. Founding Recruiter Program and Paid Plans

Founding recruiters may verify at no cost and receive complimentary profile hosting for a limited introductory period, as described at signup. PreCheckd may introduce paid subscription plans and charge for certain features. If we do, we will describe the price and billing terms before you are charged.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• misrepresent your identity, impersonate another person or company, or attempt to circumvent our verification processes;
• use PreCheckd to run scams, collect sensitive personal or financial information, or ask a member for money;
• harass, threaten, or pressure other members, or take a conversation off the platform to avoid our safeguards;
• scrape, copy, or resell member information, or contact members for purposes other than recruiting or job searching;
• upload malware or interfere with how the service works.

9. Reports and Disputes

Anyone can report a suspected scam or impersonation through PreCheckd. Reports are reviewed by our team. If a report names a recruiter, that recruiter may be given a chance to respond. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts based on what we find.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the integrity of our platform. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Disclaimers and Limits

PreCheckd verifies identity and credentials at the time of checking, but we cannot guarantee a member's conduct, intentions, or the accuracy of everything they say. Use your own judgment, and never send money or sensitive information to someone you have not independently confirmed. The service is provided "as is," and to the fullest extent allowed by law PreCheckd is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.

12. Skills Assessments

PreCheckd offers skills assessments, which show a level for each skill, and job title assessments, which show an exact score. By taking one you agree that:

• Work is your own. You will complete each assessment yourself, without help from another person, AI tools, or outside resources unless the test says otherwise.
• Integrity checks. Our test provider may flag attempts for suspected cheating or AI use. A flagged attempt is not published until our team has reviewed it, and we may reject it. A rejected attempt is not shown to recruiters, and we may require a waiting period or staff approval before you retake that test.
• Levels are an indication, not a guarantee. A level reflects how you performed on one test on one day. It is not a certification or a guarantee of ability, and it is not a recommendation to hire.
• Retakes and age of results. You can retake a skill once every 60 days, and your latest published result counts. Results older than 12 months are shown to recruiters as needing a retake.
• What recruiters see. Recruiters see skill levels you choose to show, along with how many skills you were tested on. A job title assessment score is shown on your profile only if you choose to show it. If a recruiter asks you to take a job title assessment and you accept, the exact score is shared with that recruiter.
• Test content. Assessment questions belong to us or our test provider. You may not copy, share, or publish them.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of PreCheckd after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
